What She Does

Areas of Expertise

Hallway & Mudroom Systems

Designing weather-resistant storage solutions specifically built for Ireland's damp climate. Mudroom systems that handle wet coats, boots, and rainy day gear without creating chaos at your front door.

Children's Bedrooms & Playrooms

Creating organised spaces for kids using labelled bins, rotation systems, and practical solutions that actually work when you've got three children and limited square footage. Systems that children can maintain themselves.

Kitchen Press & Pantry Maximisation

Maximising storage in traditional Irish kitchen layouts where presses aren't standard sizes and space is tight. She's worked with 1970s kitchens, Victorian terraces, and modern homes—all with different challenges.

Seasonal Wardrobe Systems

Building rotation systems that account for Ireland's unpredictable weather. You're not swapping summer and winter here—you're managing multiple seasons happening simultaneously.

Family Command Centres

Designing functional family command centres that organise schedules, keys, paperwork, and school forms. A central hub that reduces daily friction for busy households.

Whole-House Systems

Creating integrated organisation systems across your entire home. Not just isolated solutions—a cohesive approach where mudroom connects to bedroom, kitchen press links to family command centre.

From Interior Designer to Home Organisation Specialist

Síle discovered her passion for home organisation almost by accident. She was working as an interior designer, spending her days drawing up kitchen renovations and living room layouts. But when clients actually moved in, they'd call back asking the same question: "How do I keep this tidy?" She realised that beautiful spaces don't solve the real problem—functional systems do.

In 2010, she completed her Interior Design degree at the Limerick School of Design and Technology. Five years later, after watching clients struggle with off-the-shelf storage solutions that simply didn't work in Irish homes, she pivoted entirely to home organisation. That's when everything changed.

Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she developed her signature mudroom system. It wasn't complicated—just a practical approach designed specifically for Ireland's damp climate. The system accounted for wet coats, muddy boots, school bags, and rainy day chaos. Within two years, hundreds of Irish families were using it. She'd cracked something that American organising systems had missed: Irish homes are different, Irish weather is relentless, and families need solutions tailored to both.

Since then, she's worked directly with over 800 Irish households across Dublin, Cork, Galway, and beyond. She's learned that a 1970s semi-detached house in Ranelagh has completely different storage challenges than a Victorian terrace in Cork or a modern bungalow outside Limerick. She doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Good organisation is about working with the space and climate you actually have, not fighting against it.

She's particularly known for her practical approach to kitchen pantry maximisation in older Irish homes with non-standard dimensions, and her seasonal wardrobe rotation systems that account for Ireland's unpredictable weather. But beyond the systems themselves, what really drives her work is understanding that organisation isn't about perfection or minimalism. It's about creating systems that reduce daily friction for busy families. When your mudroom actually works, when your children can find their own clothes, when you know where the school forms are—that's when life gets easier.

Her Approach

What Síle Believes About Home Organisation

Organisation Isn't About Perfection

She doesn't believe in minimalism for minimalism's sake or systems so strict that one missing item throws everything off. Real families are messy. Kids lose things. Life happens. Good organisation works with that reality, not against it. The goal isn't a Pinterest-perfect home—it's a home where you can actually find your shoes and the school forms don't disappear into a black hole.

Climate and Culture Matter

You can't organise an Irish home using systems designed for California or continental Europe. Ireland's damp climate, traditional home layouts, and smaller spaces require tailored solutions. She doesn't adapt American organising books to Ireland—she builds from scratch, starting with what Irish families actually need.

Systems Should Be Self-Maintaining

A good organisation system shouldn't require constant effort to maintain. Children should be able to put their own toys away. You shouldn't need to reorganise the kitchen press every three months. The system should work with human nature, not against it. If it's too complicated, people won't use it.

Visible Storage Beats Hidden Chaos

She's learned that labelled bins, clear containers, and visible systems work better than hiding everything away in cupboards. When you can see what you have, you use it. When items are out of sight, they're out of mind—and you end up buying duplicates. Transparency reduces waste and makes daily life simpler.

Organisation Reduces Daily Friction

The real measure of success isn't aesthetics—it's reduced stress. When your family command centre actually tracks schedules, when you know where the keys are, when getting ready for school isn't a hunt through piles of clothes—that's when organisation becomes valuable. It buys you time and peace of mind.
